Karen's sadness

My dear readers, and friends,

Karen here.  You know that I always want to make you smile.  It's not easy, but I try my best.  But right now, I'm just feeling rather sad.  I also happen to be sick. :(

With so many viewers now from countries around the world, I figure that I might receive a comment or some requests to help guide me to your tg/tf fantasies.  But except for my friends Marti and Alice and Wakka, I haven't received any feedback, ideas, or requests.  Am I doing something wrong?  Do you like my creations?  Something more you want to see?  Please, say something (Anonymous comments count too!).

Please tell me what you think, 'cuz I am feeling discouraged and a little sad.  I dunno...the truth is that I am feeling a bit down and hoping to hear from some of you, my readers. Anything would be better than silence.

The Internet can be a lonely place sometimes. If there are no comments, or no responses, then I suppose it can be interpreted it as meaning that this new blog should be disbanded.  As much as I love this blog, I guess that I can give it up, if it's not wanted.  I can just go back to being a spectator.  But if you do want more, please tell me so that I might find some spirit to continue creating for you.  The small things matter a lot.

Affectionately yours,

--Karen

  1. I know comments are importants to "keep the fire", but it's not because you don't receive any that your stories are not appreciated.
I read a lot of captions and stories but rarely leave a comment because i don't really know what to say appart from "nice story". I know it's still something for the author but i usually think it's not something worth enough to be writted. And i think i'm not alone in this case.
So don't bother too much for the lack of comments and try to have fun writting your stories first. That's the more important. At least it's my advice^^
Plus, your blog is pretty new, give it some time^^

  2. Alice, thanks for your comments, and I am glad to have you for a friend. :) I do feel fun and a little sense of adventure when I write.

Believe me, I laugh all the time! (but not evil witch laughter, muahahah!) It is even better, however, if I can hear someone say that a story makes him/her smile, or laugh, or that it helps brighten their day somehow. As an author, even a small comment like "nice story" or "I like it" is very worthwhile. Even if it takes just 10 seconds to post a comment, it means a lot to me. So please do it if you can.^^

As for the rest, I agree that my blog is pretty new and doesn't generate a lot of interest yet. My inspiration for this blog came from Marti and the fact that OTGC is always down. I only wish that I had more followers!

Alice, I'm signing out now. But I will leave you with a few new caps. They are for you. If you like them, just tell me so.^^

  4. Hi Karen,
Just discovered your blog and just want to say thanks for the amazing captions. Have seen some of your captions on OTGC, and am looking forward to more in the future.
With regards to the lack of comments, the blog is still pretty new and i hope more people will discover it soon. :)

  5. Thanks, elvax, I appreciate your comment and am delighted to hear that you knew my previous artworks on OTGC. Please do comment more in the near futre and tell me what's on your mind, ok? This blog is new and will only survive as long as good folks want it to. So don't be a stranger! Meanwhile, I will keep on trying to write stories that may bring you some enjoyment. :) <3 karen

    1. Also I'm on the same boat too. I deleted my old blogger cause I became disillusioned with writing captions. I am starting over again though just barely.

    2. Absolutely, I'd be pleased to do what I can to honor your request, so do let me know what you might like.

I'm sad to hear about your previous caption blog that was deleted---I'm sure I would've liked to have seen your creations! It is nice to hear that you've got the fire going to start writing again, so don't be discouraged if starting over means starting small...we can all be small together as long as we're having some fun, right? :)

    3. As far as my request is concerned. Can you do a caption where a guy named Brian ends up sharing a body with a tomboy? Do it however you wish.

    4. Mmm, I'll see what I can do...I've never made one like this before, so you'll have to bear with my inexperience!

  7. From a new reader... wanted to drop a word of encouragement to continue your creations. I had never actually heard of you, and only stumbled upon you by chance (actually linked from another site that I frequent once a month) YESTERDAY. I thought to myself, "Where did this blog come from.. must be new", and indeed it is! But I'm happy you're here. So, to add to the previous comments - you are a new blog, but slowly, over time, word will spread and more will come. I too, am like the others who often read and don't post. But I'm posting now to show my support! In the 24-hours since I've found your blog, I've gone back and ready *every single caption* you've created!

I'm a fan of Asian themed captions, and there's a hole in the TG/TF around that theme. Another captioner (Inkyleaf) use to be my "go to" source for Asian themed captions, but Inky's frequency has died down to the point of near non-existence. So I'm happy to have found your blog! I have a "start up" page for my internet browser, and I've just added your page to it, so I'll always know if something new comes around :)

    1. Oh my *blushes*, I never expected such an effusion of sentiment as yours! Let me first thank you, my reader, for your support and encouragement to continue. I agree with you, there is never enough Asian tf stuff online, and being Asian myself, I feel that it is a travesty! I'm so glad that you found my modest blog, and I am delighted that you have found small bits of happiness in it. More to come, surely.^^ Hee. <3 karen

  8. Karen. My words are long overdue. I was once afraid to comment at all on these types of blogs, the first time I tried, I was unable to, due to technical difficulties. I tried years later, only to fail, cause I had to share myself when I wasn't ready. It wasn't until last year that It got easier as an "anynomus" When I found a way to give a name... I reached deep inside and brought back, well you know who. Heh heh ;) However the thought of the creator of such sites, taking the time to read my words, not just as a fan, but... A future sister was mind blowing. I have no words to describe that feeling. It's clear that you are continuing & are now healthy again. With these last words, I bid you good night & sweet dream big sister (Karen)
