Girl of the Week: Rinrada Yoshi Thurapan

This is the 5th part of my series about real world T-girls and Cosplayers, who are inspirations to us all!

Rinrada Thurapan, better known as Yoshi Rinrada, is a transgender woman from Thailand.  She was born in the male sex but always identified herself as a female while growing up.  Yoshi yearned to be a female since she was 15 years old, especially when she grew up surrounded by girls.  Yoshi studied communication arts at Bangkok University and gained notice in Thai films and television comedies.  But her earliest fame came from her work as a female model while she was still a teenager, which made her face recognized throughout Thailand from when she was 18 years old.

In 2017, Yoshi was crowned Miss Tiffany Universe.  In 2015, she had had gender confirmation surgery.  After winning Miss Tiffany Universe, she was able to represent Thailand in the Miss International Queen pageant the next year, where she finished as second runner-up.  The person she admires most, her idol in many ways, is Treechada “Poyd” Petcharat (featured in Part 4 of this series), who won Miss Tiffany and Miss International Queen in 2004. Yoshi feels fortunate that she and other transgender women have people such as Poyd as role models and as voices of wisdom.

“Continue to be a good person,” Yoshi insists, “and eventually the special things in you will shine out for the world to see and accept you for who you are.”  She is a beauty and an inspiration for others.

And here she speaks in her own words. 💗

Lovely!  May you have continued success, Yoshi! ^.^

Girl of the Week: Treechada Poyd Petcharat

This is the 4th part of my series about real world T-girls and Cosplayers, who are inspirations to us all!

"Poy" needs but little introduction, since she's a star in her own right.  But just a little background, for those who don't know her: Treechada Poyd Petcharat is a Thai actress and model who underwent gender affirming surgery at age 17.  As a child, Poyd realized that she was not a male but rather a transgender woman, and she braved this reality for many years despite the disapproval of her parents until she could get surgery to make her into the woman that she was inside.

At age 19, Poyd won the Miss Tiffany's 2004 and Miss International Queen 2004 in Thailand.  She has also become an actress in several Thai films.

Girl of the Week: Jiratchaya Mo Sirimongkolnawin

This is the 3rd part of my series about real world T-girls and Cosplayers, who are inspirations to us all!

Mo is not only beautiful; she is also full of grace.  She won the Miss Tiffany’s Universe (a Pattaya beauty contest) and also won Miss International Queen (the international beauty pageant for transgender women).  Before receiving her title, Mo became famous for her brief appearance on the Thai singing show I Can See Your Voice, where she surprised and delighted the audience by singing with a masculine voice.  In her spare time, Mo loves to play sports.

Mo also offers some words of support and encouragement for transgender women.  Here is her brief video message:

Girl of the Week 2: Woranun “Frame” Nalatworasakul

This is the 2nd part of my brief introductory series about real world T-girls and Cosplayers, who are inspirations to us all.
Woranun “Frame” Nalatworasakul, at age 22, a communications arts major, made waves on Thai social media when she attended the military draft just like her compatriot Monthana "Jeen" Chuthatus (previously featured).  Her cuteness and fetching appearance exempted her from (at least the worst parts of) military service and landed her interviews on Thai television.  Frame produced a series of short films called “Crazy Love.”
Way to go, Frame! ^ ^

Girl of the Week 1: Jeen

I want to start featuring some of my favorite real world T-girls and Cosplayers.
Hopefully this will become a weekly or bi-weekly thing.

Monthana “Jeen” Chuthatus, at age 20, made news headlines in the Thai media a couple of years ago after reporting for duty at the mandatory-for-men military draft in Thailand’s Chachoengsao province.  Apparently, she wasn't exactly what the army officers were expecting in a prospective soldier.  (Would you turn her down, though? ;)

Jeen gained instant fame after many people, starting with the soldier-recruits themselves, took photos of her and posted them online to show off their new sister-in-arms.

She is beautiful!  Way to go, Jeen!
