Turns out Karen is a lesbian but in the Japanese culture that is not only sham on your self but also the family. So Karen used some magic turned her gay friend Julian into Alice. And after Karen went back to Julian's she turned herself into Julian a white man. the new Julian gave up the gay thing found his/her Japanese girlfriend and the two moved back to America got married had children. Back in Japan Julian now Alice after that first night never wanted to go back to being Julian everything was right with Alice.
